Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve
Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve was established in 1976. Its covers an area of 1756 sq. kms. This reserve lies in the flood plains of the Saptakoshi in the mid-east Nepal, and is a favorite spot for bird enthusiasts. The reserve's vegetation includes spreads of tall grass and patches of sisau forest. The last surviving herd of wild buffaloes in Nepal is found here. Other species include wild boar, hog beer, spotted deer and blue bull. A total of 280 species of birds, including ducks, ibises, egrets, herons and floricans, are recorded here. This area is extremely important for migratory birds. Other animal species include the crocodile, gharial and the Gangetic dolphins. Commercial fishing is also an important activity here.

Day 01:Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Lodge where you will be offered refreshment & given a briefing on your programmes for the day.

05.30: Wake up call
06.00: Morning nature walk
08.00: Breakfast
09.00: Rafting on the Saptakoshi River with Naturalist to view some of the water birds, water buffaloes, dolphins and various water habitats. After the boat trip is over, packed lunch will be served on the bank of the river. Short drive to the Koshi Barrage to view some bird-life and fresh water Dolphins. Late afternoon return to the camp.

08.00: Breakfast
09.00: Bird-watching along the dam of the Koshi River and the area of Pink Tower crossing the Koshi Barrage. Packed Lunch served at the Pink Tower. Later in the afternoon return to camp looking for some more birds.
19.00: Dinner

06.00: More bird watching in the jungle nearby.
08.00: Breakfast
09.00: Departure
